Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Counterattacks.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - said they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck locations associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some material damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
